Glen Waverley is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Glen Waverley, on the Glen Waverley railway line. Glen Waverley is classed as a Premium Station, is in Metcard Zone 2, and is the terminus for the Glen Waverley line.Station overviewFacilitiesGlen Waverley is located between Kingsway, Coleman Parade and Railway Parade, with station access from Kingsway.The station consists of two dead end platforms, in an island format, with a large weatherboard building at the down end of the station. The building houses an open waiting area, ticket facilities and toilets. A Myki ticket vending machine was installed at the station in 2010. The installation was delayed as there was no space ideally suited to a Myki machine, as the Metcard machines were located in the optimal locations at the station. Metcard machines were removed in 2012 after the Metcard system was discontinued.Two large Myki ticket vending machines are located inside the waiting area, which is able to dispense and top-up myki cards and also accept notes, coins and EFTPOS. A ticket office are also located in the waiting area. It is one of thirteen stations on the Melbourne Metropolitan Rail Network to have Myki barriers installed. There are eight bike lockers at the station and 370 car parking spaces.
